Yarn, tools and handmade projects in the Ruzvo crochet studio

The spirit of the studio

Simple beginnings.
Ideas that grow.

New stitches and unfamiliar tools can make crochet feel complicated at first. We want that first step to feel clearer, calmer and more enjoyable.

Our studio brings together beginner guidance, small projects, granny squares and ideas for the home. Learn a little, try something and return to a step whenever you need to.

We like natural colours, useful objects and textures you can enjoy every day. A first coaster or a simple square can be a lovely place to begin.

British English. UK crochet terms.

Ruzvo UK is written for an English-speaking UK audience. Patterns use UK stitch names and metric hook sizes. Where US terms are mentioned for comparison, they are labelled clearly. For example, UK double crochet (dc) is US single crochet (sc).

What you will find here

  • Getting started with hooks, yarn and basic stitches.
  • Small makes and accessories with a clear purpose.
  • Crochet ideas for a cosy, personal home.
  • Granny squares, colour combinations and joining ideas.
  • Practical guidance on tension, finishing and common mistakes.

A thoughtful approach

We aim to explain materials, stitch counts and finishing clearly. Finished measurements and yarn use depend on the yarn, hook and tension. A tension square and a first sample help you judge what will work for your project.

Illustrations and photographs help explain an idea, but written instructions and stitch counts remain the reference. Where a pattern has not been physically tested, that limitation should be stated on the pattern page.
